The Visual Arts Certificate Program offers one year program. The main aim of the program is to facilitate development of stylization. The program is spread over 4 semesters is recommended for advanced students with a previous experience in Visual Arts. The students need to have a portfolio of previous works showing good level of skills or conceptual experimental and abstract, work reflecting development of thought process.
This program is open for practicing artists, who had already develop techniques like oil painting, acrylic painting, sketching and mixed media, dealing with a wide range of methods and mediums with a good exposure to various art techniques.
Practicing artists should come with precise ideas, concepts or project in order to be able to work efficiently with the teacher, permanent research and updated journal are highly recommended, including experimental practice, plans and research. Stylization is a guided program that helps the practicing artist to build the artwork with a strong base, as composition, layout, color scheme, medium used, without interfering permanently with the work, but as a support to the artist in order to reach the final point which is a series of connected artworks.
The basic art supplies will be provided by the studio but this program highly encourages the practicing artist to have a personal set of supplies, work independently and be self-engaged, working with different canvas sizes and new combinations of media. This program can lead to a solo show after one year of preparation, with the teacher-art facilitator guidance.
