There is a difference between a child who fills a page and a child who truly creates. For 28 years, Little Artists Art Studio has run art classes in Singapore that take that difference seriously. Children from 2.5 to 20 study under trained fine art educators in a curriculum structured by age, where focus, fine motor skills, observation, and creative confidence are taught alongside technique. The calibre of mentorship, the progression of method, and the visible work of our students are what separate our structured children’s art programmes in Singapore from a regular drawing class.

A child who learns art seriously gains far more than a portfolio. They develop the kind of attention, observation, and self-trust that shapes how they approach everything else.
In our studio, individuals learn to translate what they think and feel into images. Through colour, composition, and the practice of looking closely, they learn to express ideas long before words can carry the weight. The result is a child who creates with intention rather than impulse.
A serious sketch demands something modern childhood rarely demands: an uninterrupted hour with one piece of work. Students learn to plan, to observe carefully, to problem-solve when a composition isn’t working, and to keep going when it gets hard. The discipline becomes patience. Patience becomes focus. The finished work, theirs alone, becomes lasting self-confidence.
Three things separate a serious art programme from casual enrichment.
Our educators are practising artists with formal training, classroom experience, and the diagnostic skill to determine what each child needs. They correct, demonstrate, and challenge individually. A student showing strong composition is pushed on technique.
A child who joins us at three will still find new challenges at thirteen. Our curriculum progresses through clear stages: sensory exploration in the early years, fundamentals of line and colour in Primary School, and advanced technique, personal identity, and portfolio work for older students.
Every child has their own way of seeing and interpreting the world, and our teaching responds to it. The studio welcomes students of every ability, including those with special learning needs. Mistakes are treated as material to learn from, which is how children come to take real creative risks.

An amazing place to learn and explore the different areas of Art teaching. I have been given many opportunities to teach in different schools and even outside of Singapore. A school of loving and fun colleagues who are truly passionate about teaching and creating a vast array of new projects. Little Artists Art Studio is inclusive of all ages and capabilities.
I really enjoy going to art classes here and the teachers help improve painting, sketching and mix medium skills. There’s a different project every month to do with different mediums and materials. I recommend it to anyone that enjoys art and wants to improve skill.
I was a student at Little Artist for approximately a year. It was an enriching experience as I was able to develop my technical skills with the guidance of multiple teachers as well as develop my conceptual thinking. Little Artists had all the materials and help I required in order to create a visual form for my thoughts ?
Art lessons build creativity, observation, fine motor control, focus, and confidence. Engaging in art activities also supports cognitive growth, problem-solving, and hand-eye coordination, with effects that extend into academic and everyday performance.
Children learn to make creative decisions, commit to them on paper, and see their work improve over weeks and months. That visible progress is what builds creative confidence and a lasting belief in their own ideas.
Look at the teachers’ training and experience, the curriculum’s progression across ages, the class size, and how the studio welcomes children of different abilities. A serious programme will demonstrate all four clearly.
Children can begin from 2.5 years through sensory-led play. Ages 4 to 8 are ideal for drawing fundamentals, while students from 8 onward are ready for technique work and portfolio building.
