The school break is a rare time of the year when children are not measured against worksheets or assessment books. Our holiday art classes take advantage of this opportunity to develop different skills.
A few hours a week at our studio gives children a hands-on outlet they actually look forward to. Whether they’re sketching and shading in Sketching Workshop, sculpting magical mushroom houses in Fantasy Clay, or painting a large canvas in Big Canvas, the time at the studio is screen-free, productive, and tied to a finished piece of work they can take home.
Children pick subjects, decide on colour and composition, and see their own ideas finished and framed. Over a few weeks of holiday classes, many parents notice their child becoming more comfortable with their own opinions and more willing to try something unfamiliar. Art rewards independent thinking, which is why we give each child room to make their own choices in the studio.
Children explore everything from clay sculpture and printmaking to photography, digital design, and classical oil painting techniques. Our Working with Mediums programme lets students sample three different mediums in a single course (acrylic, watercolour, pastel, or charcoal), so they can find what feels right for them. Skills from a holiday workshop often carry directly into school art, art portfolio preparation, and a creative practice that continues long after the break ends.
Each school holiday, Little Artists opens its full lineup of project-based workshops for ages 2.5 to 20. The 2026 Summer Holiday Programme spans more than 30 workshops at our Siglap studio.
Every workshop is designed around a project that students can show. From the Studio Ghibli Workshop, where children create acrylic paintings inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s worlds, to Resin & Seascape Painting, where artists experiment with fluid art and resin techniques, each programme wraps with something the students made.
Programmes are sorted by age and skill so children land in the right room for them. Our Little Blossoms holiday programme (2.5 to 7+) introduces drawing, painting, festive art, master-artist studies, and printmaking through step-by-step activities. Children aged 8 and above can move into workshops like Pen & Ink Architecture (8 to 15) and Manga Anime Drawing (8 to 20), with teens stepping into Portrait (Classical Realism) and Portfolio Preparation Camp (both 10 to 20).
Little Artists has been teaching art for over 28 years, and our team brings instructors. Each teacher specializes in the medium they teach. The studio’s approach has been recognised at the Education Innovation Conference in Oxford and at the UK Parliament in London, alongside the Asia Excellence Award and Singapore Quality Brand recognition.
Our holiday workshops are all about diving into new mediums, getting hands-on, and letting your child’s imagination run wild.
Workshops move across themes, techniques, and materials, and students often leave wanting to continue in something they had never tried. In the Style of the Masters introduces children to oil painting through the work of Van Gogh, Picasso, Matisse, and Monet, with each student adding their own interpretation. Construction Workshop lets younger artists build castles, dioramas, and three-dimensional worlds from cardboard.
Classes are kept small so every child gets real instructor time. Teachers move between stations, offer specific feedback where useful, and step back when a student is focused. Programmes such as Portfolio Preparation Camp and Fantasy Illustration on Wood are personalised to ability and adjust as the student’s confidence develops.
Families return to Little Artists because of the positive experience, variety of offerings, and inviting atmosphere.
Little Artists is a long-standing studio in Singapore with an established curriculum and a track record across generations of families.

Past students have gone on to SOTA, NAFA, LASALLE, NYU, Parsons, UPenn, Pratt Institute, Royal College of Art, RMIT, and more.
Our holiday workshops give children a few focused hours each week to draw, paint, sculpt, or build, often producing a complete piece by the end of the programme. The break in routine resets them, and the finished work gives them something concrete to be proud of when school starts again.
It depends on the child’s age and interest. Working with Mediums is one of our signature programmes and is useful for children still figuring out what they love, since it exposes them to different media in a single workshop.
Finishing a piece of art is its own kind of confidence boost. Children often start defending their choices to peers, sharing work with family, and building a body of work over the holiday.
Yes. Most workshops at Little Artists are designed to welcome beginners alongside students with more experience. Instructors adjust their approach to each student, so a child trying oil painting for the first time learns the foundations while a more advanced student is pushed further into the medium.
The Summer Holiday Programme runs for ages 2.5 to 20. Art programmes for kids like Little Blossoms cater to children as young as 2.5, while teens have access to advanced workshops including Portrait (Classical Realism), Fashion Design, Manga Anime Drawing, and Portfolio Preparation Camp.
Activities cover drawing, painting in acrylic, oil, and watercolour, clay sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, digital art, manga and anime drawing, storyboarding, fashion design, architecture studies, and contemporary art expression.
No. Workshops are open to children at every starting point. Just pick a workshop by age and interest.
Children don’t need to bring any materials because all supplies are provided. Each child receives a goodie pack with a Little Artists T-shirt and tote bag, plus a certificate and student report at the end of the programme.
